The breeze carried the delicious scent of cooked BBQ, making my mouth water, and my stomach grumble as I’d yet to eat dinner. Every sound—the gentle lapping of waves, the low hum of conversation from park guests, and the occasional cry of a distant bird—felt like part of nature’s symphony.

But the serenity I sought was constantly tested. The golden light I had waited all day for flickered uncertainly behind a veil of stubborn clouds. A mother and her oblivious child wandered along the lakeside road, their laughter echoing loudly, breaking my focus. The roar of speedboats fractured the glassy reflections I hoped to capture, sending ripples that shredded the mirror-like surface of the water. And above all, the clock ticked relentlessly toward park closing time.

I steadied my grip, studying the scene through my lens. My unique strength—an instinct for perspective—guided me toward a secluded bend where the rocky shoreline curved gently into the lake.
